Monkey is a 10-year-old female Military Macaw who came to The Georgia Aviary after the passing of her beloved owner. Deeply bonded to her “Mom,” she still says “Hi Momma” and carries the memory of that connection with her. Monkey is hand-tame and affectionate with those she trusts, though she can be cautious with new people at first. She loves almonds as a special treat, enjoys shredding toys and puzzles, and thrives on a routine that includes fresh water twice daily and a balanced diet of pellets and fresh fruits and vegetables. Sponsoring Monkey helps provide the stability, enrichment, and compassionate care she needs as she adjusts to her new chapter.
