Ruby is a beautiful female Eclectus who came to The Georgia Aviary from the Cobb County Humane Society, where she had lived for eight years before their merger with the Atlanta Humane Society required her relocation. Eclectus parrots are unique among parrots in that males and females are dramatically different in color — males are brilliant green, while females like Ruby are a stunning red and purple from a young age. She especially enjoys fresh fruit and thrives when given a nutritious, varied diet. Sponsoring Ruby helps provide the consistent care and enrichment she needs to continue flourishing in her forever sanctuary home.
